Description

There are people that come into your life (sometimes briefly) who appear just to give you a lesson, to teach you something about yourself and to point you in the right direction. In 2020 I found myself in Paris and I meet such a person, we had a wonderful week together and I fell madly in love with her, She put me on my life’s path, taught me many things and I will be eternally grateful to her. Unfortunately we couldn’t make our relationship work but through our conversations and her actions she changed my life.

This painting is dedicated to her (although this not a painting of her) and to Kevin Ayers a quintessential English musical who lived and worked in France. He wrote ‘May I’? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PhH7pNZn17Q every time I play this song I’m taken back to that magical week in Paris. And I am truly thankful for the experience.
