Procession in Los Chopos, 2022

Description

Los Chopos is a tiny community up in the hills not far from my home town. I was lucky enough to be invited by some friends to go there and witness their annual procession of their small churches three statues. It was a wonderful day with live music, dancing and free paella. I couldn’t help but wonder how many more years will this event take place, with a dwindling population and more and more houses becoming holiday homes. I do hope it survives.
