Description

I’ve entitled this painting ‘putting the world to rights’ as this seemed to be the topic of conversation for the group of old men chatting together in the park. In this picture, 3 men are seated on a park bench while the fourth is standing, gesticulating, and seemingly putting the world to rights.

Castillo de Locubin is a small community and every day the old men gather in the square for a chat. It is my suspicion that their wives force them out of the homes while they clean but I can’t prove this. However, come rain or shine, the old men meet up for several hours at a time.
