Description

The masks of the Venice Carnival fascinate me. You see them in lots of the shops in Venice and I am immediately drawn towards them. I was looking for a new subject, something with strong colours and motifs, and these fitted the bill perfectly. I love working in soft pastels. I find them so responsive and tactile, it is a real joy.
